Cape Hatteras Secondary bounced back in strong fashion on Saturday, defeating Pamlico County 13–6 after being shut out in their previous game. The Hurricanes’ offense came alive early and never looked back, putting together a disciplined performance at the plate with only two strikeouts on the day.
Preston Stowe led the charge, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI, and a double. Tucker Salyers also delivered a big performance, finishing 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and a run scored. Graham Stutts added to the offensive effort, scoring three runs and driving in two while going 1-for-4.
Cape Hatteras Secondary’s patient approach at the plate helped separate them from Pamlico County, who struck out eight times in the contest. The win marks the Hurricanes’ first of the season, improving their record to 1–3.
