Cape Hatteras Secondary faced Panther Creek on Saturday in the second game of The Sandlot Tournament, coming up short in an 11–1 loss to the Catamounts. After putting up 13 runs in their previous game, the Hurricanes’ offense was more limited this time around as Panther Creek controlled the pace of the game.
The loss moves Cape Hatteras Secondary to 1–4 on the season, while Panther Creek earned its first win of the year, improving to 1–5. The Hurricanes will look to regroup and bounce back when they face Northside–Pinetown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
